full honeycombs / empty honeycombs:

Honey is a bee’s product, which is produce in a honeycomb. Honeycombs are well known for the purpose of storing honey and pollen. The honeycomb is the most natural form of honey, because it is the most untreated honey product. This honeycomb is being harvested directly out of the bees newly built combs.

It is then the beekeepers duty to harvest the honey. To do so he of course has to breed the bees and take care of them.

Honey has a slightly laxative effect and is therefore beneficial to the digestion. Furthermore honey has a cough-relieving, calming, fever reducing and anti-septic feature.

A lot of people use honey to improve their physical capability. Honey helps to prevent the deficiency of several vitamins to combat absence of appetite, debility, nervousness, sleep disorder, and cramps. Honey can replenish the mineral absorption, in particular within a one-sided diet.

It may also be helpful within haematopoiesis. Diabetics should consume honey with care. It is necessary to calculate the bread units and calories.

Please keep in mind that I am not a physician, although the previous information is taken from several reliable books.

Honey contains several odorous and flavouring substances which makes it tasty for people.

For storage of honey the following things should be considered:
Honey contains light and heat sensitive ingredients. Therefore it should be stored in light protecting and sealed containers, and it should be kept away from heat above +40°C. If honey is properly stored, it could be very long durable. This means you can buy your honey ahead and keep it in stock.

„If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more men!“
